I have practical and theoretical experience in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems and Reliability.
Senior Vice President of Planning, Development and Technology, Israel Electric Corporation – 2010 until May 2017.
In April 2003 I was appointed Vice President of the Planning Development and Technology Division, in the Israel Electric Corporation.
I have been a Senior Lecturer for over 20 years at Tel Aviv University and, as such, I taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses on electrical machines, transformers, reliability evaluation of power systems and optimal operation and planning of power systems.
My publications span more than 40 articles in international professional journals; 3 books on electrical machines and transformers and a book published by Springer titled: "New Computational Methods in Power System Reliability", which has been dedicated to my son, Sharon, who was killed in military action in January 2005.
I was a member of CIGRE Study Committee C1 on System Development and Economics. I have been appointed Convenor of WG C1.8 which deals with a review of structures for System Development Activity ("Review of Structures for the System Development Activity", Brochure no. 374, April 2009 Work Group C1.8).
