Dr. Arriel Benis

Lecturer and head of the Business Intelligence and Automation laboratory
(BIA lab) at the Faculty of Technology Management, HIT Holon Institute of Technology

Dr. Benis is a Lecturer in the Faculty of Technology Management, HIT Holon Institute of Technology, and the head of the SIAS lab (Smart, Intelligent and Adaptive Systems laboratory). He is a member of the board of the Israeli Association for Medical Informatics (ILAMI) and a member of the council of the European Federation for Medical Informatics (EFMI) as a Working Group chair and as the Israeli/ILAMI representative.
Dr. Benis holds a PhD. in Medical Informatics focusing on Medical Information Systems and Knowledge Discovery (as Artificial Intelligence) and has a long experience in these fields both in academia and in industry.
 
At HIT - Holon Institute of Technology, in addition to his teaching and research activities, Arriel is deeply involved in efforts for developing academic international cooperation with European institutions in the fields of Medical Informatics and applied Artificial Intelligence.
