כדור הארץ מתעורר לתחייה!

אנו בעיצומו של תהליך התעוררות - התחברות מאוסף של "דברים" דוממים וטיפשים לרשת של עצמים המדברים ביניהם ומתאמים פעולות לטובת הכלל. הטכנולוגיה הקיימת מאפשרת לחבר סנסורים חכמים לעצמים פיזיים ולדווח בזמן אמת על מגוון פרמטרים. כמות אדירה של מידע נאספת במחשבים מרכזיים ומנותחת ע"י אלגוריתמים חכמים המחלצים תובנות, מגמות ואנומאליות. "מערכות העל" יכולות להגיב לאירועים קטנים ולמנוע מבעוד מועד תקלות ואסונות.

על החזון האוטופי מעיבה עננת התקפות הסייבר. בעידן שבו הכול מחובר – התקפת מחשבים אינה נשארת וירטואלית אלא משפיעה מיידית על העולם הפיזי ומסכנת את כולנו.

ביוגרפיה

מר רמי אפרתי, אלוף משנה במילואים, הינו יזם של חברות בתחום הסייבר וביו-טכנולוגיה. לאחרונה הקים ומנהל את חברת "פירמיטאס- פתרונות סייבר" - המפתחת פתרונות טכנולוגים להגנת תשתיות קריטיות ו-INTERNET OF THINGS מפני מתקפות סייבר.

במהלך שרותו הצבאי באגף המודיעין באמ"ן, שימש בתפקידי פיקוד ומטה בכירים על מערכי מודיעין מבצעיים וטכנולוגיים וקיבל את פרס ראש אמ"ן לחשיבה יצירתית.

במהלך השנתיים האחרונות שימש רמי בתפקיד ראש אגף בכיר האחראי למגזר האזרחי במטה הסייבר הלאומי במשרד ראש הממשלה. היה אחראי לקידום הפעילות להגנת המגזר האזרחי ולקידום תעשיית סייבר ישראלית כמנוע צמיחה לאומי וכמובילת טכנולוגית סייבר עולמית.

מזה 18 שנה שרמי משמש בתפקידים בכירים במגזר העיסקי ובהם סמנכ"ל שיווק, מכירות ופיתוח עיסקי בחברת NICE וכמנכ"ל בריינסטורם תיראפיה תאית העוסקת במחקר על בסיס תאי גזע של מחלות ניווניות.

Abstract

The Earth is waking!
We are living in an exciting time of awakening – when a collection of inanimate and "stupid” objects are being connected and start "talking” between themselves to coordinate actions for the benefit of all. The existing technology allows to connect smart sensors to physical objects and report in real-time a multitude of data and parameters. A huge amount of data is collected in central servers, and analyzed by intelligent algorithms which can extract insights, trends, and anomalies. "Super Systems” can now react to small events and preemptively handle and avoid problems and disasters.

Over this utopian vision the shadow of cyber-attacks is threatening. In the age where everything is connected – a cyber-attack does not remain virtual but immediately affects the physical world and puts us all in danger.

Biography

Mr. Rami Efrati, Colonel Res., an expert in Cyber Technology Strategic Methods, is the former Head of the Civilian Division of the Israel National Cyber Bureau in the Prime Minister's Office.
Mr. Efrati is also the Founder and CEO of "FIRMITAS Cyber Solutions" – a company focused on providing a holistic technological approach for the security of mission-critical infrastructure sector & Internet of Things.

Mr. Efrati has served in the Israel Defense Forces for more than twenty eight years. He commanded numerous prestigious operational and technological positions in Military Intelligence and received the Creative Thinking Award from the Director of Military Intelligence.
Mr. Efrati also has 18 years of civilian experience and has been involved in entrepreneurial activities with both start-up and established companies in the Cyber-Security, High Tech and Bio-Technology sectors.

Mr. Efrati is currently serving the community as the Immediate Past District Governor of Lions Clubs in Israel.
