The halls of HIT- Holon Institute of Technology rang with different languages and accents during International Partners Week organized by HIT’s International Office and its European partners. The purpose: to strengthen the ties and forge new ones in the fields of mathematics, computer science and design.
During the week-long intense visit, the delegation received a comprehensive overview of the Institute's activities, capabilities and various units, including tours of the laboratories, meetings and joint work with relevant academic and administrative staff.
"Most of the discussions focused on issues that are important to all institutions. Mutual recognition of the crucial importance of entrepreneurship, innovation and industry-academy engagement were at the heart of discussions,” said Ira Ivshin Guetta, Director of International Programs and Collaborations.
In addition to campus activity, the delegation toured of Masada and the Dead Sea. There, on Mount Masada, the members of the delegation were exposed to the breathtaking view and to the history of the Jewish people and their resilience. The mosaics, textures and ancient design left a profound impression on the participants.
The International Office continues to strengthen HIT’s ties with its counterparts abroad as well as to create more opportunities for its researchers and students.
The Institute is proud to be a leader in international relations with other academic and research institutions worldwide. The institute maintains a system of collaborations with approximately 130 academic institutions in approximately 35 countries, which include approximately 145 undergraduate students from Central Asian countries, student exchange programs, innovation competitions, joint research, and mutual visits, conferences, and transcontinental events.
