Motorola Solutions Israel Awards Scholarships to HIT Students for the 12th Consecutive Year

For over a decade, the collaboration between HIT - Holon Institute of Technology and Motorola Solutions Israel, the local branch of the global tech giant, has been instrumental in providing vital scholarship support to deserving students. This enduring partnership continues to enable ambitious learners to pursue their academic dreams at HIT.

In a recent heartwarming ceremony at HIT's campus, Motorola Solutions Israel awarded scholarships to 28 exceptional students from the Faculties of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Sciences, and Industrial Engineering and Technology Management.

The scholarships, valued at a total of $40,000, were equitably distributed among 14 male and 14 female students, underscoring the commitment to gender equality in STEM fields.

As part of this initiative, scholarship recipients are encouraged to engage in community service of their choosing, fostering a culture of giving back and social responsibility. This aspect of the program aligns with both institutions' commitment to nurturing well-rounded professionals who contribute positively to society.

The ceremony not only celebrated the current recipients but also highlighted the far-reaching impact of Motorola Solutions' global educational program. With over three million participants worldwide, including students, lecturers, and community members, the program places special emphasis on supporting underrepresented groups, including minorities, individuals with special needs, women, and veterans.

Professor Adir Pridor, Chairman of HIT's Board of Trustees, addressed the recipients: "These scholarships represent not just recognition of your past achievements, but also an investment in your future. We hope that upon completing your studies, you will leverage your knowledge to benefit our institution, our environment, and our nation."

HIT President, Professor Eduard Yakubov, reflected on the longstanding partnership: "Twelve years since our first scholarship ceremony, I stand here today, deeply appreciative of Motorola Solutions Israel's unwavering support for our students, our country, and our industry. We look forward to continuing this fruitful collaboration for years to come."

Avraham Ben-David (Benda), CEO of Motorola Solutions Israel, expressed his gratitude: "While you thank us for our contribution, I must emphasize that it is we who are grateful for the immense value you bring to our community and country. Many of your talented alumni now hold senior positions in our company, a testament to the quality of education at HIT. Your institute's commitment to valuing each student individually only reinforces our dedication to this cause."

Dr. Limor Sahar Inbar, Dean of Students at HIT, concluded the ceremony with words of encouragement: "To our students, who persist in their academic pursuits despite the current challenges facing our nation, I extend my deepest admiration. Your resilience is truly commendable. We are profoundly grateful to Avraham Ben-David and Osnat Horev from Motorola Solutions for their enduring support, which empowers our students to overcome obstacles and excel in their studies, especially during these trying times."

This annual scholarship program stands as a beacon of hope and opportunity, exemplifying the power of industry-academia partnerships in shaping the next generation of technological leaders and innovators.
