Representatives of Azerbaijan Technical University Visit HIT
HIT - Holon Institute of Technology maintains academic and research partnerships with over 140 academic institutions across 35 countries worldwide, including nations in Central Asia, and assists these countries with advanced innovative technological knowledge and experts in numerous fields where they face shortages.

Central Asian countries have experienced accelerated technological and digital development over the past decade and, as such, require specialists in diverse technology fields including electrical engineering, water management, information security and cybersecurity, and more.
These collaborative partnerships are made possible thanks to the wide range of core disciplines in which the Institute specializes, such as Digital Medical Technologies artificial intelligence and big data, robotics, and electrical and electronics engineering, as well as through its extensive and significant connections with leading entities in these and other fields within Israeli industry.
A senior delegation from Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), which included Associate Professor Aliyev Hikmet Saxavaddin - Head of the Electrical Engineering Department. Mr. Elshad Gurbanov - Head of International Projects at AzTU, visited HIT. The delegation was accompanied by Ms. Aydan Karimli - Third Secretary at the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Israel.
The guests were received by Prof. Eduard Yakubov, President of HIT, who was joined by Prof. Arie Feuer, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering; Dr. Amir Handelman, Senior Researcher and Head of the AI and Photonics Laboratory in the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering; Ira Ivshin Gueta, International Partners and Programs Manager at HIT; and Mrs. Tony Levy, Head of Foreign Relations and Balkan Countries in the President's Office at HIT.
During the visit, the guests were given a tour of major laboratories, and held meetings with research teams and management.
The guests expressed great appreciation for the institute's activities and the academic and technological capabilities presented to them and expressed their intention to promote significant cooperation between the two institutions.
Among other things, it was agreed to prepare a roadmap for joint activities; exchange delegations at the presidential and rector levels of both institutions; collaborate in joint supervision of doctoral and post-doctoral programs; establish and lead joint projects with academia and industry in relevant fields; and promote the signing of an official cooperation agreement.
The visit was crowned as highly successful and constitutes a solid and promising foundation for a significant strategic relationship between HIT and Azerbaijan Technical University.
