HIT hosts a delegation from Rwanda Embassy in Israel
On Monday Jan. 13 the Holon Institute of Technology (HIT), led by its President Prof. Eduard Yakubov, hosted a delegation from the Embassy of Rwanda in Israel, including Ambassador James Gatera and his personal assistant Ms. Josephine Mbabazi.

The visit focused on developing academic, technological, and cultural collaborations between HIT and institutions in Rwanda, with an emphasis on innovation, sustainability and education.
HIT was represented by its President, Prof. Eduard Yakubov; Dr. Refael Barkan, VP for Innovation Entrepreneurship and Internationalization; Mala Braslavsky, Director of the Research Authority; and Ira Ivshin Guetta, International Programs Manager.
Prof. Eduard Yakubov noted:
"International collaborations are an integral part of HIT's vision, which is based on innovation, sustainability and top-quality education. We are pleased to open channels for collaboration with Rwanda, which has become a global leader in technology and development."
Ambassador James Gatera added:
"Rwanda sees technological education and academic collaborations as a significant growth engine. We appreciate HIT's commitment to advance joint innovation and initiatives, and I am certain that the collaboration between our countries will be beneficial to both sides."
The delegation and the team from HIT discussed possibilities for establishing joint programs for studies and the exchange of students and researchers, as well as technological initiatives for the benefit of both the local and international community.
The visit ended with a mutual agreement to enhance the ties and collaborations between HIT and institutions in Rwanda, with the aim of generating innovating high-impact projects.
