The CHE, in discussing the committee's report, commended the Technological Institute "for its exceptional applied mathematics curriculum designed to provide graduates with the necessary tools for successful integration into industry, and the Institute's efforts to achieve this goal." The Institute's commitment to a thorough and meaningful quality assessment process was also praised, due to which the Institute is not required to track the program's development.
The committee's report positively noted the balance in the curriculum between theoretical mathematical foundations and practical applications focused on the needs of industry and technology. The program provides students with advanced tools necessary for professional integration across various fields in the high-tech and science industries. Committee members also emphasized the importance of teaching mathematical foundations from an early age and highly commented on the Institute's "Excellence Youth" program, which prepares high school students for mathematical sciences.
Professor Eduard Yakubov, President of HIT, responded to the report and CHE's decision, saying: "The report expresses our commitment to providing students with the best tools for integration into the future workforce through quality and innovative research and teaching that reflect the latest developments in science, such as Artificial Intelligence and data science. The School of Mathematical Sciences has opened a unique track in these fields. We are proud of the recognition of our curriculum's excellence and will continue to work to lead in academic innovation."
“The committee's decision, made after a thorough and comprehensive examination of the School of Mathematical Sciences' work, reflects the Institute's long-term plan to provide students with the most precise and appropriate toolbox for their integration into modern-era industry as well as continued studies for advanced degrees”, said Professor Anatoly Golberg, Head of the School of Mathematical Sciences who said: "I would like to personally thank the faculty members and school staff who helped prepare the report."
HIT continues to serve as an example of academic excellence and technological innovation. The applied mathematics curriculum serves as a model and emphasizes the importance of education adapted to the modern era.
