HIT was represented by: President Prof. Eduard Yakubov; Dr. Refael Barkan, VP for Innovation Entrepreneurship and Internationalization; Dr. Amir Handelman, Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Head of the AI & Photonics Laboratory; Eran Aharonson, Head of MAGNET – the excellence program for undergraduates in computer science; and Libat Avishai, Head of Alumni & Friends Engagement.

Rohde & Schwarz International was represented by Philipp Weigell, VP for Academia & Research, and David Gonzalo, Senior Director of Global Sales T&M.

Rohde & Schwarz Israel was represented by: Managing Director (CEO), Yariv Niv, alumnus of HIT's Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering; Eyal Almog, Head of Sales & Marketing; Sharon Tshiliby, Academy Account Manager; and Aviv Dahari WIC Account Manager, also an alumnus of HIT's Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Prof. Yakubov presented HIT's vision and said: "Collaborations with global technology companies like Rohde & Schwarz enable us to consolidate our position at the forefront of innovation and academic excellence."

HIT's diverse activities were presented to the guests, and Dr. Barkan reviewed the new and rapidly growing interdisciplinary field of Digital Medicine, involving engineers, designers, clinicians, and technology experts. Eran Aharonson proposed collaboration with the MAGNET program, and Dr. Handelman presented various mechanisms for collaboration with the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

Philipp Weigell and David Gonzalo said they were greatly impressed with the diversity of activities at HIT. David said he had never seen such unique and multidisciplinary activity at any other academic institution. "Collaboration with HIT opens new opportunities for sharing knowledge and advanced technology, and we look forward to strengthening these ties in the future," he said.

Since one visit seemed insufficient, an additional visit was discussed before the guests departed. It was also agreed that HIT and Rohdes & Schwarz will strive to develop new collaborations focused on research and training within the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

HIT continues to lead in innovation and global collaboration.
