Prof. Eduard Yakubov, HIT President, provided an overview of HIT’s academic programs and research activities. He spoke about the close relationship that HIT maintains with Israel’s industry and the community-at-large. "We are proud to have earned the title of being the 'academy of industry’, engaging in diverse collaborations with the top corporations in Israel. Our students graduate well-equipped to embark on their professional careers and gain significant job experience during their studies," said Prof. Yakubov.
During the visit, Dr. Nava Shaked, Head of the School of Multidisciplinary Studies, presented the content and unique perspective of the School. "Multidisciplinarity is a cornerstone of our institution. Every student studying at the Institute, at some point or other in their academic pursuits, takes part in multidisciplinary courses offered by the School. At any given time, you can find a design student working next to a computer science student sitting together with an electrical engineering student, and sharing and exchanging their knowhow" said Dr. Shaked.
Prof. Castulus expressed interest in multidisciplinary ventures and even noted that this is indeed his first visit to Israel, but certainly not the last. "Our two institutions have a lot of similarity in its DNA, and I believe that there is a firm basis here for ongoing collaborations."
