The Department of Visual Communication's Graduates Exhibition opened at HIT.

The exhibition of the Department of Visual Communication's graduates in the Faculty of Design showcases a wide variety of content and platforms that the students chose to experiment with and engage in, which are a glimpse into the Israeli reality of the summer of 2023.

The exhibition in the Faculty of Design's building deals with the space between the sacred and the profane, between the new and the recycled, and between personal language' virtual reality, and artificial intelligence.

"As our society, the exhibition presents a turbulent reality with many voices and shades," says Judith Asher, Lecturer at the Faculty of Design and the exhibition's curator.

Among the works: "Be'Imashelach" - by Sapir Moradi, who designed a humorous Instagram channel that examines dating, men, women, and everything in between.

Noa Brown, developed and designed an application called OT that assists people with autism in dealing with their social environment in an accessible way and in full accordance with how they experience and see the world.

Ofek Malik's "Shame on You" project, is an internet series that includes three episodes that refer to three generations, each dealing with a different instance of shame in women's lives, from adolescence to menopause.

"The students express and project personal and exciting stories in their works, and I invite the visitors to learn about their inner world and their curiosity, about their engagement in the technological and cultural field, as well as the questions that preoccupy them, which are reflected in their innovative products in the physical space and the virtual space," says Tzachi Diner, Head of the Visual Communication department.

Other works on display: an animated film describing a personal experience dealing with a universal fear - death. The film depicts the understanding that time is a limited resource and shows the resulting fear and dealing with it; A nostalgic movie that tells the story of the iconic Allenby Street in Tel Aviv' with its people and places of the past; A dialogue between an advanced artificial intelligence system and a creator who has post-traumatic stress disorder and is in search of a toolbox that will allow her to continue creating and break free from barriers and a digital guide in the format of an app that teaches how the sea can be used as an alternative to conventional medicine, with recommendations for simple treatments that anyone can perform on their own.
