HIT Hosts Dayton Jewish Community Council
HIT Holon Institute of Technology hosted an official delegation from the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) of Dayton, Ohio. The visit was part of the Council's efforts to deepen international connections between the Dayton Jewish community and leading academic institutions in Israel, as well as to promote collaborations in innovation, education, and technology.

Mr. Jeff Blumer and Ms. Meryl Goldman, representatives of the JCRC delegation, met with HIT senior officials and representatives from the Holon Municipality. The meeting focused on opportunities to strengthen cooperation between HIT and Jewish communities in the United States, emphasizing the importance of technological innovation and academic education in strengthening international ties.
Mr. Samuel Goldberg, CEO of HIT, welcomed the guests and emphasized the institute's role in creating connections with Jewish institutions and communities worldwide: "We are proud to host the distinguished members of the JCRC Dayton delegation, who work tirelessly to preserve and strengthen ties between Jewish communities around the world and the State of Israel. HIT serves as an important bridge between technology, research, and community, and we see great importance in strengthening cooperation with Jewish communities overseas."
During the visit, delegation members met with representatives from the Holon Municipality, including Deputy Mayor Mr. Michael Sotovsky, Ms. Rachel Landau, Head of the Foreign Relations Department, and Mr. Lidor Valdman, representing the Foreign Relations Department. Discussions included presentations of joint educational and technological initiatives that could advance relations between the Jewish community in Dayton and research and academic bodies in Israel.
The guests toured HIT's advanced laboratories, including the 3D printing lab and the advanced nanomaterials laboratory. During the tour, the delegation was presented with groundbreaking projects by researchers and students studying at the institute, highlighting its capabilities to lead change through technological innovation.
JCRC representatives expressed great interest in future collaborations with the institute, intending to connect Jewish communities in the United States with educational and research institutions in Israel. Mr. Jeff Blumer, delegation representative, noted that "the visit to HIT was inspiring. We were exposed to innovative research that positions the institute at the forefront of technology, and we look forward to continuing fruitful dialogue and joint initiatives."
