"Aviram Foundation" directors visited HIT

The directors of the philanthropic foundation "Aviram Foundation" ,Gili Aviram, Noa Aviram, and Lior Atias, visited HIT Holon Institute of Technology, upon invitation from the institute's President, to closely observe the academic and research activities conducted there and to examine ways to jointly promote climate, sustainability and innovation issues that are at the core of the Foundation's activities.

Prof. Eduard Yakubov, President of HIT, welcomed the guests with Mr. Shmuel Goldberg, CEO, and Mr. Moti Mishan, Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor to HIT's President.

Prof. Yakubov greeted the guests saying that research and teaching of climate change, sustainability, and Green Energy issues are very significant in HIT's "Being a multidisciplinary institution, we have a substantial advantage in that the research is conducted by combining the forces of researchers and students from different faculties and in unique projects carried out as a result.

We want every student at HIT to study at least one course at the School of Multidisciplinary Studies on sustainability, climate change, alternative energy, and related topics so that we can create a scientific infrastructure and awareness of this vital topic.

I am pleased that the "Aviram Foundation" agenda is similar to HIT's in climate, environment, and sustainability topics, and I welcome any collaboration and mutual promotion of these issues."

During their visit, the guests visited the Department of Visual Communication's graduates' exhibition and showed interest in environmental and sustainability projects.

Before leaving, Gili Aviram said she was impressed by HIT's various activities. It was agreed that the fund would examine optional collaborations, aiming at finding possible ways to collaborate with HIT.

The Aviram Foundation was established in 2021 by businessman and entrepreneur Ziv Aviram and his four children: Gili, Nir, Noah, and Gal. The Foundation is in memory of Idit Aviram, the family's mother, who passed away from cancer in 2015. The Foundation's activities reflect the world of values of the family - to promote matters of community and provide professional educational and financial resources to people, projects, and solutions that have the power to positively change the reality of the lives of the citizens of Israel and the region.

The Foundation has managed to harness the experience and tools of the business world and combine technology and entrepreneurship along with doing good to fulfill ideas, solutions and ventures and lead to improving the quality of life of society and the surrounding area, among other things, the fund deals with promoting in particular technological ventures, as well as support for scientific and medical research and contribute to the development of professionalism, innovation, and excellence in the field.

The founder of the fund, the businessman and entrepreneur Ziv Aviram, received an honorary degree from HIT last year.
