Academic Delegation from ULSIT, Bulgaria visited HIT


Three faculty members from The University of Library Studies and Information Technologies in Sofia, Bulgaria, visited HIT for the first time.


Prof. Eugenia Kovatcheva, a lecturer on research policy in computer science, Prof. Georgeta Nazarska, a lecturer in the field of religious and cultural heritage, and Associate Prof. Hristina (Nina) Ivanova Dimitrova, who lectures in the field of cultural heritage, recently visited HIT.


They presented their work in the areas of heritage preservation using digital tools and explored collaboration opportunities between ULSIT and HIT, while considering joint research areas and examining the feasibility of submitting joint submissions to the Ministry of Regional Cooperation’s open call for proposals next year.


During the visit, the guests met with Dr. Yael Eylat Van Essen from the Faculty of Design and with Dr. Dan Kohen-Vacs from the Faculty of Instructional Technologies, who reviewed and presented their areas of expertise. Additionally, the lecturers visited the 'Vitrina' gallery at the institute and heard explanations from Architect Udi Cramsky.


Ms. Ira Ivshin Guetta, International Partnerships and Programs Manager, and Ms. Mala Braslavsky, Director of the Research Authority, said that the Research Authority and the International Office encourage connections with academic institutions abroad and promote collaborations for the purpose of submission to European Union Open calls.


"We are pleased to host academic faculty members at the institute and wish to establish and strengthen collaborations that encourage academic excellence, both in teaching and in research," both said.


HIT - Holon Institute of Technology has academic and research collaborations with over 140 academic institutions in 35 countries worldwide.
