Avigdor Kahalani’s first visit to HIT

Avigdor Kahalani, a recipient of the Israel’s Medal of Valor and one of the most prominent figures in the history of the State of Israel, visited HIT Holon Institute of Technology.

Kahalani, whose inspirational story has motivated generations of Israelis, was warmly received by the Institute's President, Prof. Eduard Yakubov, who gave him a detailed review of the academic and research activity that takes place here.


During the visit, Mr. Kahalani visited the Living Lab - HIT's innovative laboratory that integrates advanced technology and applied research in diverse fields such as health, sustainability, and smart solutions.  Mr. Kahalani showed great interest in the technologies developed in the laboratory and engaged in conversations about the potential contribution of these projects to society at large.


Mr. Kahalani also visited the Julia Mizrahi Gallery, which showcases now the "To Work!" exhibition. The exhibition explores the connection between design, creativity, and technological innovation in the modern workplace. Kahalani was impressed by the exhibited works and the institute's ability to uniquely and inspirationally connect art and technology.

 

Prof. Eduard Yakubov, the institute's President, welcomed Mr. Kahalani, saying: "It is a great honor for us to host Avigdor Kahalani, a person whose personal and national story serves as an example and model of achievement and contribution to the country. This visit emphasizes the importance of connecting innovation, education, and heritage."

 

At the conclusion of his visit, Mr. Kahalani shared his impressions of the institute: "I was deeply impressed by the achievements and innovations happening here at HIT. You are not only training the next generation of engineers and designers but also promoting values of excellence and contribution to society."
