The program, which will last eight weeks, is intended for 20 female students in their final year of the bachelor's degree in the Faculty of Industrial Engineering and Technology Management at HIT identified as having leadership potential.
The female students participating in the program are from the Faculty of Industrial Engineering and Technology Management. They will receive a scholarship from Bezeq and tools and skills to maximize their abilities and prepare them optimally for industry.
On Bezeq's behalf, the program is led by three female VPs: Moran Kita Asherovitz, VP of Human Resources; Nurit Kantor, VP of Private Clients and Tali Polag, VP of Marketing, along with other female managers who will share their experience as mentioned and serve as mentors for the students. On behalf of HIT, the initiative is led by the gender equality unit led by Adv. Orna Koplovich.
Prof. Eduard Yakubov, President of HIT: "It is a great honor for us to host this distinguished event and a flagship program that deals with the advancement of women. This is one of the most important visions and goals of our institute. I believe with all my heart, that strong and good leadership can come out of this room. I wish you success.
Shmuel Goldberg, CEO of HIT: "I thank you for the fruitful cooperation with Bezeq. We have had strong professional ties for many years, and I wish us many more years of fruitful work. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to contribute and receive significant practical tools for success."
Moran Kita Asherovitz, Bezeq's vice president of human resources, said: "We, the managers at Bezeq, are proud to take part in a program whose essence is the advancement of women from the academic stage. As someone who started her career at Bezeq 19 years ago as a customer service representative and rose to the position of Vice President of Human Resources, I can testify that even if the process is challenging, in the end, women reach leading management positions. In recent years, there has been a change for the better in most companies, and women are increasingly integrating into management positions. At Bezeq, we have set a goal of at least 50% of women in management positions by 2030. This plan is another step in the hope that talented women will integrate into significant positions at Bezeq and other leading companies."
Adv. Orna Koplovich, Head of the Unit for Gender Equality, HIT: "The "Chosen" program - for female leadership, is a bridge between academia and industry and maximizes the academic knowledge with the skills necessary for their integration into industry. I established the program eight years ago out of a need that we identified in our graduates, contributing to their integration into the industry. The joint program we developed with Bezeq demonstrates shared values and goals; the managers at Bezeq take an active part in the program and are mentors and an inspiration to our students. This is an important connection between academia, industry, and society, especially now."
