Yossi Lemel | CORONA CASE

A journey to Pandemia

3D Digital Exhibition, “Vitrina Gallery”, HIT holon Institute of Technology

Playfully and humorously, Yossi Lemel describes Covid-19 as “just another deadly, boring disease”. Lemel, master of posters and graphic design, made sure we were well-supplied with an abundance of creative images of the virus, which he designed during the onset of the pandemia and the global quarantine, almost on a daily basis. Powerful and imaginative direct images, without any disposition of “visual elitism” or “self-promotion” – an image a day, as fresh as bread in the morning, until a mosaic design was created. The Corona Case series has a common design line and a specific palette and was designed for Internet viewing but with the dimensions of the traditional printed poster (70x100 cm). Lemel isa well acclaimed active designer and equally a social activist whose contribution to shaping public debate and social involvement in Israel and abroad is internationally recognized.
