HIT's Faculty of Design presents an exhibition titled "HIGH CONTRAST" which includes works done by students, graduates and lecturers from the faculty.
Prof. Dana Arieli, Dean of the Faculty of Design: "We've decided to categorize this exhibition under 3 main principles which offer different viewpoints on contemporary Israeli design, that is considered one of the most fascinating scenes in the world:
-
Saturated Identity- Israel as a melting pot, where design reflects its multi-faceted nature.
-
Edited Tradition- Since the 1970's Israeli designers are willing to integrate local personal tradition and common past traditions into their works.
-
Distorted View- Israeli designers' point of view is often influenced by the intense pace of life in Israel and is often expressed in their works through humor, improvisations and thinking outside the box.
