Delegates from 15 EU Embassies in Israel, Visit HIT

 
15 delegates from various EU embassies in Israel have visited HIT for
the first time.

The group was welcomed by Prof. Eduard Yakubov, President of HIT and was taken on a tour around campus which have included visit to 3D printer facility as well as to the Faculty of Design's workshops and Vitrina Gallery.
 
The guests were shown presentations on various research and academic topics by HIT's senior academic staff :
  • Dr. Refael Barkan Director  Research, Development and External Relations Authority: Multi-Disciplinary R&D Centers and Labs at HIT
  • Dr. Yuval Beck, Faculty of Engineering -  Renewable Energies and Smart Grid.
  • Prof. Alla Zak, Faculty of Sciences- The Nanotechnology Lab.
  • Prof. Motti Haridim, Vice-President for Academic Development, Faculty of Engineering- Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) Lab.
  • Dr. Nava Shaked has form the Engineering faculty described the Activities of M3IC in developing ,multidisciplinary projects concerning with Human Machine interaction emphasizing the importance of collaboration between Design, Engineering and Science students in creating smart multimodal interfaces.
 
All the guests have expressed their interest in broadening their countries' academic and research connections with HIT and are looking forward to initiating mutual ventures with HIT.
