Dr. Alla Zak promoted to Associate Professor
Congratulations to Dr. Alla Zak, head of the Laboratory for synthesis and investigation of nanomaterials and Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Science, who was recently promoted to the rank of Associate Professor in the Faculty of Sciences at HIT.
Prof. Zak is also a Scientific Adviser in the Department of Materials and Interfaces in Weizmann Institute of Science (WIS), Israel and is involved in the field of nanoscience and nanotechnology since 1996.
Her experience in the synthesis and investigation of WS2 and MoS2 inorganic nanoparticles with fullerene-like structures (IF) and nanotubes (INT) includes 6 years of Ph.D. study and almost 10 years as chief scientist (CSO) in NanoMaterials, Ltd. (NML) company.
Recently, she successfully scaled up the synthesis of the WS2 nanotubes, which paved the way for numerous scientific researches, for discovery of novel properties and opened new possibilities for using these materials in commercial products
Prof. Zak is an inventor of 2 patents and an author of 34 scientific papers in the field of inorganic nanoparticles.
