MOU signed with Mostar University from Bosnia and Herzegovina

 

HIT's President, Prof. Eduard Yakubov, welcomed a delegation from Mostar University, led by the university's Rector Prof. Dr.Sc. Zoran Tomić and senior university officials in their first official visit to HIT. An MOU regarding academic and research collaboration was signed during this visit.

HIT's President Prof. Eduard Yakubov warmly welcomed the Rector of Mostar University in Bosnia and Herzegovina and a delegation of university officials on their first official visit here.


During the visit, Prof. Eduard Yakubov and Prof.Dr.Sc. Zoran Tomić, Rector of the University, signed a memorandum of understanding for academic and research cooperation between the two institutions, student and faculty exchanges and participation in Erasmus+ International programs.


In his welcome remarks to the guests, Prof. Yakubov reviewed the academic and research work taking place at HIT, as well as the variety of international academic agreements signed by the institute, 124 in number with about 34 countries worldwide.


On behalf of the guests, Prof. Dr. Sc. Sanja Bijakšić, Vice-Rector of Mostar University for International Cooperation, presented an overview of the university and the scope of its academic and international activities.

The University of Mostar is located in one of the most beautiful regions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and has 10 faculties, 10,000 students, 1000 staff members and 160 curricula. It has more than 100 institutional agreements and over 650 courses in foreign languages.


The University has engraved on its banner the promotion of excellence, scientific research and community development, values similar to those of HIT.

 

The guests were given a tour of HIT's campus and visited the Robotics Center and the Cyber Lab and heard explanations from Dr. Yaakov Damatov, Head of the Robotics Center, Dr. Dan Cohen Vacs Head of the Undergraduate Studies in the Faculty of Instructional Technologies and Dr. Harel Manshari, Head of Cyberat HIT.

 

The visit ended with a personal and warm invitation from the Rector of Mostar University to the President and CEO of HIT, to visit Mostar soon as guests of the University.
