Dr. Michal Balberg, senior lecturer and researcher from the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, gave a speech on behalf of the outstanding lecturers and said, among other things: Each and every one of us came here with great knowledge, with a vision and with the desire to pass them on to future generations as well. Most of us think that the way we studied qualified us as a scientist, an engineer or a designer, and also as lecturers. In the past year, we have had to change the way we teach and update it according to the constraints.

I believe, and operate under the assumption, that in order to continue to succeed in our mission we must come out of this period with a different approach. We must assimilate and create new and innovative ways of teaching in order to enable the next generation to successfully face the challenges that lie ahead. We must also combine the transfer of knowledge with the acquisition of soft skills, so that the skills with which the students enter the work force will be adaptive to the technological, social and human challenges of the 21st century."
