HIT's Honorary Degrees
Prof. Nili Cohen
Prof. Nili Cohen is past-President of the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities, 2017 Israel Prize Laureate for Legal Research, Professor Emeritus at Tel Aviv University, and former Rector of Tel Aviv University.
HIT honors Prof. Cohen in recognition of her achievements in both academia and law, with particular emphasis on her specializations in Contract Law, Torts Law, and Unjust Enrichment.
Professor Cohen integrated various fields of knowledge in her far-ranging academic endeavors, such as law and literature, human rights and science, creating a unique and original multidisciplinary perspective.
Her efforts to secure research budgets for the advancement of Science in the State of Israel together with the model for collaboration between academic institutions which she forged represents a strategic vision shared by HIT, which is committed to promoting advanced infrastructure for applied and multidisciplinary teaching and research deemed of critical importance to the preservation and advancement of the State of Israel’s scientific and technological achievements.
For all of the above HIT is granting her an Honorary Degree.
