2008 - Hi tech Executive
Working (part time) for few Israeli hi tech companies as an in house CFO and/or Business Manager. Preparing the companies for fund raising and/or major activity growth and expansion, pre and post M&A management (On the buyer's as well as on the acquired side). During this time, as WinBuyer CFO, $6.9M was raised from two leading Israeli VCs and as the CFO of CrowdIT and WebsPlanet smaller amounts were raised from angels. All companies (WinBuyer, WebsPlanet, CrowdIT, Innocon, TeraCoate and seeV solutions) increased their activity and sales dramatically in a reduction business environment.
2001-2008 - Integrity Systems Group - CFO
Integrity systems was the leading integrator, Service provider, and software developer of computers infrastructure in Israel. The group employees above 200 employees and provides its services to leading Israeli and International companies. The company sales its products through its worldwide distribution chain. In 2007 I was leading the sale of the Company to Glasshouse Inc. a US Integrator. Following the sale the Company was merged with MBI (another Israeli Integrator) to become GlassHouse Israel. I was appointed as Glasshouse Ltd CFO and was responsible for the merging of the 2 companies and merging GlassHouse Ltd with GlassHouse Inc.
One of the Group companies (Illuminator Inc.) raised in 2004/5 $6M from leading US and Israeli VCs and additional $3M as a venture debt. In 2007 I was leading the effort that ended in selling all Illuminator assets to EMC.
1999-2001 - Tescom - Vice President Finance and Management Services
In 2000 Tescom was the biggest Software Quality Assurance service provider worldwide. The company employed above 400 employees in Israel and about the same Number of employees in it's subsidiaries in USA, GB, France, Singapore, Australia and Germany. Direct responsibility for all back office staff (Over 20 employees) including the following departments: Finance, MIS and Administration. I was leading the M&A activity of the company. As part of this responsibility two companies were acquired by Tescom during the year 2000 and few overseas subsidiaries were established.
1996-1999 - Nanonics Lithography - CFO
Nanonics Lithography is a start up company developing capital equipment for the semi-conductors industry. The Company raised almost $10M from leading Israeli VCs, angels and the Israeli Government (Chief scientist office).
1994 - 1996 - Optronic Devices, Hauppauge, Long Island, New York - Vice President, Finance & Contracts
ODI, a subsidiary of ELOP- Electooptics Industries used to be the Long Arm for manufacturing and marketing of ELOP in the United States. I was highly involved in the search to acquire U.S. companies as a subsidiary of ODI. My main task was to conduct the due diligence and negotiation of potential businesses. These efforts resulted in the acquisition of Kollsman, Inc in December 1995. Kollsman employed over 650 people and has annual sales in the amount of $100 million. Responsibilities included the raising of capital from U.S. banks and after closing, the reporting methods and accounting procedures on the consolidation of Kollsman Inc. and their subsidiary, KMC into ODI and then into ELOP's financials.
1993 - 1994 - Gat High Technology Center - Member, Board of Directors
1992 - 1994 - ELOP, Electrooptics Industries, Ltd., Rehovot, Israel - Manager, International Contracts and Sales
Managing the international contracts and sales team. In charge of all military and commercial Int'l contracts with principal foreign customers, (approximately $50M per year). Business manager for international business development in civil sector, including channeling all activities and dealing with bi-national foundations, establishment and development of joint ventures and foreign industrial cooperation.
1988 - 1991 - ELOP, Electrooptics Industries, Ltd., Rehovot, Israel - Sales Manager and Marketer - North and Latin American Regions
Search for potential customers. Choosing and operating agents abroad. Responsibility for incoming orders amount of $10M annually. Principal customers including Allied Signal Aerospace Company, Martin Marietta, Kaiser Electronics, U.S. Army, industries and defense ministries in Latin America
