Dr. Tomas Karpati is a physician and data scientists. He earned the MD at the University of Zulia (Venezuela) and a specialty in Research Methodology in the University Rafael Urdaneta (Venezuela).
He made Aliya in 1992. His working history includes a fellowship on Neuro-immunology in Hadassah Hospital. He also worked as a biostatistician in the Michaelson Institute for the prevention of blindness (Hadassah), and in Maccabi Healthcare, were also worked at the BI unit, developing medical registries and in the development of the "Hanit" medical intelligence system. He also worked at the Clalit Research Institute as a data scientist.
His academic experience included the development of the curricula on Biotechnology in Hadassah Academic College (HAC), Lecturer on Epidemiology & statistics, and on Medical Emergencies in HAC, Lecturer in Data Science in the continuous education unit of the Technion and Bar Ilan, and Data Mining at HIT.
He is the Head of the Multidisciplinary Health Analytics Lab at HIT.
