Faculty & staff

Yuval has industrial experience since 1995. He joined the faculty in 2022 as a senior lecturer after a few years as a research scientist in MIT. He wants to develop the training of new engineers and applied integrative research in tight collaboration with industry and other academic groups.
 

2017: Ph.D. in engineering supervised by Prof. Sharon Gannot: “Distributed Localization and Tracking of Acoustic Sources”, Bar-Ilan University, Ramat-Gan, Israel. 

2007: MBA Reichman University, Herzelia, Israel. Entrepreneur of a new company, Medicheck for acoustic sensing of pneumonia for babies. 

2001: M.Sc. in electrical engineering (magna cum laude), supervised by Prof. Arie Feuer and Prof. Boaz Porat (of blessed memory): “Modeling and Identification of LPTV Systems by Wavelets”, Technion, Haifa, Israel. 

1998: B.Sc. in electrical and computer engineering (summa cum laude): signal processing, communication and control, supervised by Prof. Israel Rotman and Dr. Ayelet Pnueli, Ben Gurion University (BGU), Ber-Sheva, Israel.

2021 – Now: Co-Founder of Alagene, 1st Israeli bio-foundry supported by IIA, Hylabs, Reichman University and Michael Eisenberg as a national facility for synthetic biology.

1995-2017: Senior manager in various hi-tech and bio-tech companies.
