The 10th Instructional Technologies Conference
Prestigious annual conference focuses on Artificial Intelligence as it hits 10-year milestone

The annual Instructional Technologies conference serves as a platform showcasing activity in learning technologies by academia and industry. This year, the conference also focused on one of the exciting topics that has already made waves in other fields - Artificial Intelligence and its implications for the work of training developers and managers.
The conference included a nationwide competition designed to promote and recognize excellence in digital learning. About 20 proposals were submitted to the competition from various academic institutions such as the Technion and Bar-Ilan University, as well as from large corporations and the public sector such as Isracard, the Civil Service Commission, Lotem, Methodika and John Bryce.
The conference was opened by HIT President Prof. Eduard Yakubov and by the Dean, Prof. Gila Kurtz, and was chaired by Dr. Eran Gal, head of the Graduate Program in the Faculty of Instructional Technologies. Some 15 speakers from academia and the Israeli industry presented papers over the course of three sessions. The event was enthusiastically received by 350 participants from professional community

The first prize was awarded to the credit company "Isracard" with the project Chabi - an AI-based chatbot that answers questions and makes all the necessary information accessible. The bot contains an introduction about the company, employee benefits, administrative processes (filling in forms), orientation, professional onboarding, directions (link to Waze), informational videos, and more.
