Four Ambassadors Conducted a Guided Tour of HIT's Graduate Exhibition

The Ambassador of Kazakhstan -H.E. Daulet Yemberdiyev , Ambassador of Bulgaria –H.E. Slavena Gergova, and the ambassador of the Philippines – H.E. Aileen Mendiola, together with the First Secretary of the embassy of Uzbekistan – Mr. Sherzod Shavkatbekov, visited the Annual Exhibition of the Faculty of Design at HIT – Holon Institute of Technology and were guided by Prof. Dudi Rawet, Daen of the Faculty of Design.

 

 

Prof. Eduard Yakubov, President of HIT, stated at the beginning of the visit that at this time, such a visit holds supreme importance, as it presents an excellent opportunity to show the ambassadors, and through them the citizens of their countries, that despite the prolonged war, the country continues to develop while maintaining its core values and advocates for continuing normal life routines and providing equal opportunities, which is reflected in the students' work.


Prof. Yakubov added that "this is an opportunity to convey a message to these and other nations that the HIT is interested in international scientific relations and is prepared to help develop important issues in the fields of medicine and energy. I hope that collaborations between HIT - Holon Institute of Technology and academic institutions in these countries will continue to bear fruit."


Kazakhstan Ambassador to Israel Mr. Daulet Yemberdiyev said upon concluding the visit that "it was inspiring to witness the achievements and creativity of the students graduating from the departments of Interior Design, Visual Communication, and Industrial Design. The presented projects reflected months of dedication and innovation, with many developed using advanced artificial intelligence algorithms, breakthrough applications, and new ecological materials. These works demonstrated the power of design to address urgent challenges in industry, medicine, heritage preservation, and social development." The ambassador also expressed special gratitude to Prof. Eduard Yakubov "for his vision and leadership in preparing the next generation of designers to blend creativity, technology, and innovation in solving real-world problems."


Bulgarian Ambassador Ms. Slavena Gergova noted that she was very impressed by the new ideas and impressive perspective of the young designers. "Bulgaria continues its cooperation with the Technological Institute and other academic institutions in Israel and encourages knowledge exchange and, of course, student and faculty exchanges. With Israel, your way of pushing the young generation forward to experience and cope is impressive," she concluded.


First Secretary of the Uzbekistan Embassy in Israel Mr. Sherzod Shavkatbekov particularly noted his admiration for the dedication and commitment of students who served and continue to serve in reserves for such a long period, while simultaneously managing to create new and intriguing projects, especially in areas of assistance for people with disabilities.


 The Philippines Ambassador Ms. Eileen Mendiola was greatly impressed by the multitude of innovation-focused projects in the exhibition. "Innovation is one of the pillars of the current era, and Israel is the global capital of innovation," she said, adding that she hopes to bring a group of journalists from the Philippines who will be able to see and cover the innovative projects that so impressed her.


HIT - Holon Institute of Technology maintains academic and research connections with approximately 140 academic institutions in 35 countries worldwide and views the very existence of such connections as a bridge between these nations and Israel, bringing vital knowledge exchange that benefits the entire world.
