HIT's 2nd academic delegation to Uzbekistan headed by Dr. Damatov
HIT's delegation to Uzbekistan, which was formed according to the framework of cooperation between H.I.T. with universities in the Republic of Uzbekistan returned after completion of a successful visit.
The delegation was headed by Dr. Yakov Damatov, HIT's coordinator of Uzbekistan –HIT projects and included Dr. Boris Lembrikov from the Faculty of Engineering and Dr. Michael Kiperberg from the Faculty of Sciences, Department of Computer Science.
The Delegation attended the International Conference “The importance of information communication technologies in the development of real sectors of economy”, which took place in of Tashkent University of Information Technologies, Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
The visit was held as part of the framework of cooperation between H.I.T. and leading academic institutions in Uzbekistan: The National University of Uzbekistan (NUUz), Tashkent University of Information Technologies (TUIT), TUIT Branch in Samarkand and Samarkand State University (SSU).
In each university the delegation's members have conducted meetings with the management of the institution as well as have taught a seminar to students.
Dr. Damatov said upon completion of the visit that HIT is going to play the role of center for collaboration with Uzbekistan and will facilitate further connections between other academic institutions and Uzbekistan.
