Israel's Ambassador to Uzbekistan visited HIT
H.E. Eduard Shapira, Israel's Ambassador to Uzbekistan, visited HIT officially for the first time. The Ambassador's visit followed the ongoing fruitful collaboration that exists between HIT Uzbek government bodies and leading academic institutions in Uzbekistan.

The Ambassador was welcomed by Prof. Eduard Yakubov, President of HIT, who reviewed for the guest the diverse activities that take place in HIT especially following the MOU's signed between HIT and The National University of Uzbekistan (NUUZ), Samarkand State University and Tashkent State Technical University.

Prof. Yakubov said that the collaboration between HIT and these leading academic institutions, includes also joint courses in Applied Mathematics, Technology Management and Computer Science, staff exchange programs and joint conferences in the field of innovation.

A joint project in Mathematics' teaching has already won a grant from the EU as part of the Erasmus+ initiative.
Ambassador Shapira congratulated HIT on these collaborations and said that he will assist in every possible way to continue and broaden them.
