Yael Avni from MADE lab at HIT were invited to take part in the 11th International Convention on Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology. Yael was invited to present two papers published at the conference which took place in Kobe, Japan.

The first phase of a new, groundbreaking study in the Research Laboratory "Non Invasive Hybrid Machine Interface" at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering has recently been completed. The research was carried out by the head of the laboratory, Dr. Ronen Sosnik and the students Omer Ben Tzur and Inora Valizada, who completed their final project at the lab and graduated with honors.

The annual Design Supporters' event was held at the Faculty of Design with HIT's members of the Board of Trustees chaired by Mr. Pinchas (Pini) Cohen, members of the executive committee and many guests, who have enjoyed mingling and listening to a musical trio.

Katerina Batsarisaki, a 4th year student of Engineering at the Technological Educational Institute of Crete, is the first exchange student to come to HIT from Greece with the Erasmus + program which enables students to study in higher educationl institutions abroad.

In a recent paper, published in the prestigious Physical Review Letters and highlighted as an "Editor's Suggestion" on the journal website, Prof. Eugene Kanzieper and collaborators – Dr. Roman Riser and Dr. Vladimir Osipov – deal with the billiards, albeit quantum rather than classical.

Dr. Erez Simony, from the Faculty of Engineering and Dr. Michael Kroyter from the Faculty of Sciences have received large grants from the Israel Science Foundation (ISF) for the next 4 years.

Gloria and Wilson Abudi are old friends of the Institute and make sure to donate each year scholarships to students participating in the "Academia Plus" program.

The German Ambassador in Israel, Dr. Clemens von Goetze visited HIT for the first time. The Ambassador was accompanied by the Head of Labour and social affairs Mrs. Martina Wichmann-Bruche.

The memorandum of understanding was signed during the visit of Prof. Eduard Yakubov, President of HIT and Dr. Refael Barkan, Head of the R&D and External Affairs authority to Latvia.
