Introducing: HIT’s M.Sc. Degree with Thesis in Technology Management 

HIT’s fourth new study program approved by the CHE in record time.

The Council for Higher Education (CHE) approved a new Master's degree program with thesis (MSc) in Technology Management, a welcome addition to the highly regarded graduate program in Technology Management, which already offers an MSc without thesis.

This is HIT’s fourth academic program to be approved by the CHE over the past 13 months. These exciting academic developments, taking place in such a relatively short time frame, began last May with the opening of the pioneering and unique undergraduate degree program (BSc) in Digital Medical Technologies.

The speedy approvals of these four programs is in itself an unprecedented achievement. The fact that 3 of these 4 programs are for thesis track graduate degrees (valued because of their research-driven nature)  attests to the confidence in which the CHE regards the research capabilities of HIT, in terms of both academic faculty and leading status on the Israeli higher education scene.

Prof. Eduard Yakubov, President of HIT, expressed great satisfaction upon hearing the latest good news, and promised: "We hope to receive further approvals in the coming months for a Master's degree in "Data Science" without thesis (and later on with thesis), and approval to open a Master's degree program (without thesis) in "Environmental Technological Design".

He continued: “Advanced studies are a major priority for us as we move forward in our strategic academic development plan.  They form a solid foundation for us to continue expanding our role as a leading scientific academic institution.”  

Prof. Shaul Bar-Lev , Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Engineering and Technology Management, noted that the speedy approval demonstrates the high academic level of the program, and of course obligates the Faculty to ensure that its high standards are met accordingly.

Prof. Bar-Lev used the occasion to express his gratitude to Dr. Gila Albert, Head of the Graduate Program in Technology Management, for leading the program's preparatory team and for her professional diligence and significant contribution to this important academic achievement.

He wished greatest success to Vice-Dean Dr. Eyal Brill, who will head the Graduate Program in Technology Management in the coming academic year.
