From Holon to Washington, DC

M.A. graduates in Instructional Technologies at HIT can continue to study towards a Ph.D. at George Washington University (GWU), USA.

At the initiative of Prof. Gila Kurtz, Dean of the Faculty of Instructional Technologies, and HIT's President Prof. Eduard Yakubov's signature, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed with George Washington University in Washington, DC, USA.

As part of the agreement, outstanding master's degree graduates from the faculty will be able to pursue doctoral studies at one of the largest and oldest universities in the world.

This MOU will allow students from the Faculty of Instructional Technologies to expand and deepen their academic education for an international Ph.D. focused on human-technology interaction, jointly supervised by faculty from both institutions.

As part of the institution's collaboration, Dr. Michael Feuer, former president of the National Academy of Education, current Dean of the Graduate School of Education and Human Development, and professor of education policy at George Washington University, visited the Institute. During the visit, Dr. Feuer met with the President of HIT, Prof. Eduard Yakubov, and learned from him about the Institute's extensive activities in Israel and worldwide. Dr. Feuer was impressed, saying this was not his last visit to HIT.

Prof. Eduard Yakubov: "We see this visit as a support visit to the Institute and the State of Israel. We would happily collaborate with George Washington University in the research field and joint programs such as student exchange and joint special conferences."

Prof. Michael Feuer: "Supporting Israel is extremely important to us, especially at times like these. We are creating an exciting collaboration that is part of a vast system of relationships with higher education institutions outside the U.S. HIT's reputation precedes it, and we appreciate the opportunity for the Faculty of Instructional Technologies graduates."

Prof. Gila Kurtz, Dean of the Faculty of Instructional Technologies at HIT: "This is an important milestone in the faculty's journey to become a center for innovation and academic excellence."

Dr. Eran Gal, Head of the Master's degree at the Faculty of Instructional Technologies at HIT: "I assume that the ability to study towards a Ph.D., especially in the era of A.I., will enable the faculty's graduates to develop international academic and professional careers

HIT Holon Institute of Technology is proud to participate in international activities with other academic institutions and research institutes worldwide. The Institute collaborates with about 140 educational institutions in nearly 35 countries, which include student exchange programs and joint research and study projects.
