The directors of the philanthropic foundation "Aviram Foundation" ,Gili Aviram, Noa Aviram, and Lior Atias, visited HIT Holon Institute of Technology, upon invitation from the institute's President, to closely observe the academic and research activities conducted there and to examine ways to jointly promote climate, sustainability and innovation issues that are at the core of the Foundation's activities.

The text-to-text speech system developed for the podcast “Pocket Animals” earned third-year Computer Science undergrads Maxim Malikov and Tony Hasson, a prize from the Public Broadcasting Corporation.
