Idan Herbet, 3rd year student from the industrial Design dept. at the Faculty of Design, HIT, won the Silver Design Award at The A'Design Award and Competition in Italy, for the design of a Portable Gas Stove.

The Mirzo Uglubek Innovation Center was established in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for cardinal improvement of conditions for development of information technologies industry in the Republic and for the support of development and implementation of Information Technologies.

As traditional part of HIT's annual Graduation Ceremony, a Lifetime Achievement Award and Honorary Degrees were bestowed upon key figures in Israeli academy, industry and society.

The delegation, headed by Prof. Avazjon Marakhimov Rakhimovich, Rector of the National University of Uzbekistan (NUUz) included Dr. Khikmat Saburov – Dean of the Joint HIT-NUUz faculty and Mr. Aziz Aripov – Advisor to the Rector, NUUz.

Mr. Samuel Goldberg, HIT's CEO and Mrs. Tony Levy External Affairs Officer at HIT were invited yesterday by the Foreign Ministry to attend the opening of the "March of Life 2019" Photo exhibition, documenting the march htat took place in Bitola, Macedonia earlier this year.

Prof. Vladimir Mazya was the guest of honor in the 18th Harmonic Analysis and PDE International Conference 2019 which took place recently at HIT.

Dr. Ilan Goldfajn, until recently President of the Central Bank of Brazil, visited HIT upon invitation from Prof. Eduard Yakubov, President of HIT.
