Microcontrollers and Microprocessors Laboratory
The laboratory is located in Room 508/1 and includes thirteen computer stations.
In this laboratory students learn to use embedded computer systems and software development tools, as taught in the Microprocessors course. They get acquainted with and learn the essentials of microcontrollers' architecture and operation, the interfaces between microcontroller and memory and various input/output devices, basic internal devices and their operating mode, the principles of analog and serial communication interfaces.
The purpose of the laboratory is to give students a basic understanding and practical knowledge in developing and programming of embedded systems based on microcontrollers. The laboratory is based on the Texas Instruments MSP 430 Development Tool kits (MSP-EXP430FG4618) with IAR embedded software.
