Dr. Alex Axelevitch, Senior Lecturer, Head of Microelectronics and Thin Films Laboratory and Head of the Microelectronics and Nanotechnology Dept. at the Faculty of Engineering, had published a new book titled "Digital Electronic Circuits the Comprehensive View".

A research proposal submitted to the Israel Ministry of Science by Dr Eyal Brill, Dr Josef Tanny from the faculty of Technology Management together with a researcher from the Volcani Institute of Agricultural research, Dr. Ofer Rosenstein, was approved for funding. The Subject of the research is the use of data for real-time optimization of crops growth functions.

HIT had received 1 million NIS Grant from the Council for Higher Education's Planning & Budgeting Committee chaired by Prof. Yaffa Zilbershats. 

The Ministry of Foreign affairs organizes an annual gathering of all Israeli ambassadors abroad.  This year HIT was chosen as the venue for Euro-Asian Department Ambassadors' meeting, in light of the extensive collaborations between the Euro-Asian countries and HIT.

Prof. dr. ing. Vasile Ţopa, Rector of The Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania, was invited by Prof. Arik Sadeh from the Technology Management Faculty, to visit HIT and to sign an MOU with HIT on topics of innovation, technology and entrepreneurship.

Joint research of HIT and the Tel Aviv Sourasky medical center, was accepted for publication in the prestigious "Clinical Neurophysiology" magazine 

An academic delegation from HIT lead by Prof. Eduard Yakubov, President of HIT, was invited to take part in GEW2018 Global Entrepreneurship Week in Tashkent Uzbekistan.

The Newton Conference took place at HIT, hosting guests and speakers from Israel and abroad. The conference was initiated and organized by Prof. Adir Pridor, chairman of the executive committee at HIT. 

Dr. Luis Lederman - consultant to the International Atomic Energy Agency, Vienna, delivered a special lecture today entitled: "Nuclear Energy and Effects of Ionizing Radiation".
