The Faculty of Sciences hosted "Industrial Day"- a special event in order to increase activity in industrial mathematics across Europe. This is part of the MI-NET, Mathematics for Industry Network is a COST Action funded project (TD 1409) activities.

This is the third consecutive year that a workshop on "Mathematics and Control Theory" is organized at HIT, by the department of Applied Mathematics.

A paper based on a final project in NanoPhotonics, by Oded Katz from the Faculty of Engineering at HIT, mentored by Dr. Dror Malka, was accepted and published in the prestigious Photonics and Nanostructures - Fundamentals and Applications scientific journal.
